    • Broader Impacts

U-TuRN is well-positioned to bring broader impacts to life at ISU given our Network’s collective expertise in community outreach and engagement across a wide variety of sectors and disciplines. To make this happen, U-TuRN works closely with the Grants Hub, a centralized unit within the Office of the Vice President for Research at Iowa State University that works to diversify and increase the research portfolio of the University.

As a principal investigator develops their proposal, a detailed and thoughtfully conceived broader impact can substantially improve the changes of the proposal being funded. The Grants Hub offers consultations to help make connections between researchers, resources and programs on and off campus to develop and implement broader impact plans. To get started with the Grants Hub, please complete this form and choose “Broader Impacts Consultation” under Requested Service if you are interested in learning more.
