U-TuRN is excited to welcome 2 new additions to the team for 2019.

Ashley Scudder, Ph.D., appointed as the Associate Director of Research and Outreach for U-TuRN. Ashley is a Licensed Psychologist and Lecturer in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from West Virginia University.Ashley has collaborated with community partners to implement and evaluate evidence-based mental health programs for children and parents and has conducted a variety of research studies on these topics. In U-TuRN, she will work to foster community partnerships and engagement, expand the network’s capacity for carrying out translational research, and oversee the Outreach work team.

Craig Van Pay, Graduate Assistant. Craig is a PhD Student in the School of Education and Department of Human Development and Family Studies, advised by Dr. Connie Beecher (Team 4) and Dr. Ji Young Choi. His research interests are in community-based interventions for early childhood language and literacy and early childhood educationprogramming and school readiness outcomes. His roles in U-TuRN will involve engaging the network and its affiliates, social & web media, and facilitating Engaged Scholar & U-TuRN team meetings.
