Faculty/Staff

Faculty/Staff

U-TuRN is a collaborative research / outreach network that is open to all ISU Faculty / Staff interested in translational research, community-engagement and implementation science. Faculty and staff can link their project to U-TuRN to facilitate sharing and to promote visibility of their work (on campus and in the community). There are tools and resources to support teaching and outreach through GivePulse and ways to connect to other faculty and staff through the Engaged Scholar network or the Implementation Science workgroup.

Engaged Scholar Meetings

Effective community engagement practices are essential for the type of transdisciplinary research emphasized in U-TuRN. U-TuRN has facilitated collaborations and discussions among a group of engaged scholars across campus and this has evolved to be called the Community Engagement Collective. The leadership team works to plan and coordinate campus presentations (Engaged Scholar meetings) to enable sharing and discussions on relevant community engagement topics.  The group and associated lectures are open to the full campus so complete the brief Smartsheet link to provide your contact information and we will get you added to the group lists.

Implementation Science Workgroup

Implementation science methods are central to translational research efforts and a grassroots working group has formed to enable faculty to share their approaches with regard to implementation science as well as their questions. The group meets monthly for group meetings or journal club type gatherings but there are also informal discussions and collaborations through email. The group is open to broader participation so complete the brief Smartsheet link to provide your contact information and we will get you added to the group lists.
